Nordstrom is set to feature a fully rolled out Topshop collection in its own stores giving the beloved British fashion label’s American fans reason to rejoice.
The two retail behemoth’s have partnered to bring Topshop and Topman to U.S. consumers in displayed generous spaces within locations nationwide.
The stores, featuring an extensive selection of the Topshop range along with a specially designed line for Nordstrom, will open on September 10.
Rejoice! American fans of Brit fashion label Topshop will be delighted by news that 14 Nordstrom locations are set to feature extensive collections by the fall
Pete Nordstrom, president of merchandising, told WWD: ‘We think our customers are going to love their take on trend-led fashion at great prices. But this is not a price play. It’s really a trend and fashion play’
Likewise, Topshop owner Phillip Green enthused: ‘I believe Topshop and Topman departments offer the Nordstrom customer something very different and unique with our signature British fashion authority.’
In each location, a 2,500 square foot space will be marked out for the Topshop mini-store while Topman will occupy a smaller 1,500 area.
Along with the label’s typically trendy fur vests, floral prints, slashed demim, flirty frocks and boyfriend jeans, more upmarket, ‘premium’ dresses will be added for the slightly smarter dresser.

The Topshop collection will also be available on the Nordstrom website.
Impressed by the British retailer’s ‘speed to market’, the department store president revealed that new styles will be flowing in weekly to Nordstrom.
The deal comes as the well-loved American outfit attempts to boost its somewhat deflated sales figures and Topshop gradually expands its presence in the US.
Asked whether the relationship was exclusive, Mr Green replied: ‘It’s exclusive until we agree it isn’t exclusive.’

Expansion: Topshop has three stand alone stores in the U.S. and is partnering with Bay stores in Canada
The Seattle-based head of merchandising at Nordstrom admitted: ‘This is a test for us. We want to really do good so we do have a chance to be exclusive. We want to earn that.’
Topshop has already opened three stand alone stores in New York, Las Vegas and Chicago and is scheduled to launch in Los Angeles next spring.
Meanwhile it has already commenced a similar partnership to the Nordstrom union with Canada’s Bay department mega-stores that with over 7,000 square feet of space reserved for the collections, dwarf its American counterpart.
