Newbies … Orlaith is happy with her downsized boobs

The gorgeous Big Brother star, 33, was left terrified for weeks after the PIPs scandal hit the headlines.

Worried the silicone could leak, the mum of two went back under the knife as soon as she could.

And, as our exclusive pictures show, she has opted for new boobs two sizes smaller than they were.

The Belfast model — famed for dubbing her breasts “my babies” during Big Brother — said: “I call them my newbies.”

Orlaith was horrified when it emerged late last year that French implant manufacturer PIP had been cutting corners with implants.

The now defunct company had been stuffing their product with industrial grade silicone — used as mattress filler — instead of medical-quality material.

Orlaith said: “I remember sitting in my mum’s kitchen and I’d heard about the PIPs and I said, ‘I have them.’

“I could remember the name of them from when the surgeon was going through the details.

“Everywhere was closed over Christmas and the scare was about them leaking and everything, all horror stories.”

The former Page 3 girl contacted her clinic as soon as it reopened and they confirmed she had PIPs. Some 1,500 Irish women received the implants over the past decade.

Orlaith — who had two previous enhancements — said the Make Yourself Amazing company carried out the operation for free.

The formerly AA-cup model said: “My family were encouraging me to have them removed and not replaced. I was really thinking about it, about just sticking with whatever is left — but that is nothing! I thought I can’t have no boobs, I’m a single girl. It would be different if I was married.”

Having them removed and not replaced would have left Orlaith with visible scars which, she said, “look like an anchor”.

She revealed: “I decided to have them done a lot smaller. I wanted a kind of teardrop shape. These are back to the size of my first implants I had when I was 24. I love them — I call them my newbies.”

Orlaith — who split from Dungannon-born property developer Gary McCausland — said: “Like with many women, I could have underlying complications that I don’t know about. I was very lucky that mine hadn’t ruptured or leaked.”

Some women who had PIP implants have complained of a range of body pains and extreme fatigue.

Orlaith said: “I have had the tiredness and the back pain but I just put it down to having two kids, so I don’t know.”

After years of full-time motherhood to Eva, five, and three-year-old Anthony, the blonde bombshell now hopes to get back into the modelling and fashion business.

She has teamed up with pal Katie Price to make a splash with a new swimwear range. And she and a pal are launching a company in Northern Ireland to train up new modelling talent.

Orlaith said: “My whole life has been modelling and I want to stay in the industry.

“I’ve been a very hands-on, full-time single mum.

“My youngest will be at nursery school from September so it’s time to branch out to have my time.

“Katie’s a lovely girl and I’m glad to be working with her on her swimwear range. I’m giving myself a year to see what will happen.

“If it happens then great, if it doesn’t then at least I have tried it.”

Orlaith revealed she is back in touch with 2005 Big Brother winner Anthony Hutton, who she smooched on live TV — but only on Twitter.

Asked if she was in contact with big-boobed Zimbabwean Makosi — they shared a famous lesbian kiss in the pool — she said: “God no. You know, I will always have the tag of Big Brother on me but that was back then.

“I do miss those days though, I have some really great memories.

“Not many people have the chance to do it and I was one of those ones, I played a game.”

Meanwhile Orlaith has fully recovered after being pulled face down to the ground by a drunk stranger on a night out earlier this month.

She said: “My upper lip is a bit red and my chin is a bit red with slight scarring but it won’t be permanent. It could have been much worse.”
